Dear Kids,
September is here, and that means fall is on the way! I love the fall. Where I live, it means cooler weather and one of my favorite sports football!
Speaking of sports, I hope you had a chance to watch some of the 2008 Olympic Games during
August. I had a great time watching the competitions and cheering for Team USA. There's another group of special athletes that I had a chance to learn about this month. I interviewed a coach who works with the Special
Olympics. These athletes have disabilities to overcome, but they try their very best at their sports. Learn more about what it's like to coach these special athletes in this month's "What's It Like to Be..." article.
September is also a great month to do something fun with your grandparents. Grandparents Day is held every year on the first Sunday after Labor Day. This year, it is on September 7.
