PB&J Waffle-wiches

Just about every kid loves peanut butter and jelly, but youre probably not used to having it for breakfast! Try it!

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 4 mini frozen waffles
  • 1/2 small banana
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon strawberry jelly

DIRECTIONS:

  1.  With adult help: Do not separate the waffles. Put the waffles in the toaster and toast them until they are light golden brown. Carefully remove the waffles from the toaster and place them on a cutting board. Cut the waffles apart using a safe knife.
  2.  Cut the banana half into thin slices. Spread the peanut butter on 2 (two) of the waffles. Top the waffles with banana slices, jelly and the rest of the waffles. Enjoy!

Makes 1 (one) serving.

Helpful Hint: If youd like, you can spread plain or strawberry soft cream cheese over the waffles instead of the peanut butter. You can also substitute your favorite kind of jelly, jam or marmalade instead of the strawberry jelly.
